Although, our school mascot is the roadrunner...our classroom theme is all about OWLS!!

* My name is Kim Kosmen and I'm extremely passionate about reading and teaching. I use many different teaching strategies that tap into your child's unique way of learning!
* Communication is also important to me.....please email or call me if you ever have any questions or concerns.
* I love teaching and my greatest pleasure is seeing the growth that takes place within your child's education!!
* Along with teaching, I continually love learning best practices and approaches. I strive to be a life-long learner!
I hold a Master's degree in Reading Instruction and I am one of 12 Internal Literacy Consultants for our District.

About Me: *I have experience teaching Kinder, 1st, and 3rd grades.
*My husband and I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, and working on our never ending home improvement list.
*We are parents to our daughter Kendyll and son Caleb. They keep us busy and makes life an Adventure! My family and faith are very important to me.
*We have a Shiba Inu dog named Reba!
*I enjoy spending time with my family and friends!
*I grew up on a farm! My parents are farmers. We had lots of farm animals and grew our own vegetables!
*I love to sing!
*My favorite authors: Kate DiCamillo (Got the chance to meet her...so amazing! Others include:
Eric Carle, Kevin Henkes, Mary Pope Osborne, Lauren Tarshis, and many more!
*A few of my favorite things: Being a reading teacher & Mom, getting my nails done, gardening, the color- Teal/blue, pizza, Italian food, popcorn, singing, country music, visiting Museums, Fairs, and Zoos.
*I also enjoy reading, being outdoors, spending time at our cabin in the UP, going on vacation to TN, and having game/movie nights!
